| Education Practice Areas Associations Courts About Pamela Hammond While at LSU Law School, Ms. Hammond was a member of the Moot Court Board, and won the Robert Lee Tullis Moot Court Competition which was argued before the Supreme Court of Louisiana. She was awarded the Delia Cobb Moot Court Award, the American Jurisprudence Award, and was inducted into the LSU Law Center Hall of Fame. Prior to joining Elkins, P.L.C., Ms. Hammond served as a working partner in the development of multi-family housing, and was instrumental in the application for and chartering of over forty-five de novo financial institutions throughout the southern United States. She has also served as an expert witness for the Federal Home Loan Board of Dallas, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Comptroller of the Currency’s Office, and the Office of Financial Institutions of the State of Louisiana. Ms. Hammond has represented both owners and investors in commercial real estate developments with respect to federal tax incentives for historic preservation and low-income housing, real estate syndication financing and refinancing, bond financing and Internal Revenue Code Section 1031 tax deferred exchanges. She has also represented both purchasers and sellers in both the stock and asset acquisitions and sales of commercial establishments and manufacturers. |
