About Michael Mancuso
Michael Mancuso was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1969. Mr. Mancuso, whose focus is on real estate transactions, joined Elkins, P.L.C. in 1997. While attending Tulane Law School, Mr. Mancuso served as a justice on the Moot Court Board. Prior to joining Elkins, P.L.C., Mr. Mancuso served as a clerk for the Louisiana Supreme Court.

Mr. Mancuso has represented developers in a wide variety of matters, including the acquisition, ownership, and development of hotels, apartment complexes, residential and commercial condominiums, retail commercial space, warehouse and industrial buildings, and mixed-use developments. Additionally, he has counseled clients in real estate transactions using a variety of financing sources, including federal tax incentives such as the historic rehabilitation tax credit, the low-income housing tax credit, façade donations, and mixed public/private financing.

Mr. Mancuso has also been involved in the negotiation and drafting of commercial and residential lease transactions, and has handled other matters related to commercial real estate transactions, such as entity formation, construction contract negotiation, and governmental approvals.

He has lectured on the subject of title examination and title insurance and is the co-author of Mastering Real Estate Titles and Title Insurance in Louisiana, National Business Institute, Inc. (2002).

As a licensed title agent of First American Title Insurance Company, Mr. Mancuso has experience in the examination of real estate titles and provides title insurance services through the firm’s title insurance agency, St. Charles Title Corporation.
