About Jennifer M. Lawrence
Jennifer M. Lawrence was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 27, 1970. After graduating magna cum laude from Tulane University School of Law, she was admitted to the Louisiana State and Federal Bars in 1995. She has practiced primarily in the areas of life, health and disability insurance defense litigation. At least half, if not more, of her practice consists of defending claims for benefits brought under plans governed by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act. She has been trial and appellate Counsel in several reported decisions, including Berthelot v. Travelers Insurance Company, 973 F. Supp. 596 (E.D. La. 1997). She is a member of the federal, state and local bar associations, as well as the Defense Research Institute.
